Every visual design language has an origin.
For Vinciani, that origin began with the heritage mark, the horse emblem that became the first identity of the House of Vinciani.
It began when the Heritage Mark was inspired by a childhood memory of founder Manny Vinciani watching his mother’s sewing machine.
In that moment he visualised a powerful battle horse emerging from the sewing machine itself, a symbol of strength, discipline and design, that vision became the House of Vinciani.
As the identity of Vinciani evolved, the attention turned toward one specific detail with the horse’s Heritage Mark: the diamond shaped eye.
While the horse represented the spirit of the House of Vinciani, the diamond eye represented observation, strength, discipline, design, awareness and intent.
The next evolution was the creation of Vinciani’s identity mark, the V-Mark.
The V-Mark was constructed and designed using a refined asymmetrical V- form, with two distinctive notches integrated into the V-Mark.
These notches were directly derived from the diamond eye of the Heritage Mark, preserving an important visual connection between The House of Vinciani original emblem and the identity V-Mark of Vinciani’s brand.
In this way, the House of Vinciani’s Heritage Mark did not disappear it actually evolved. As the diamond eye remained present within the V-Mark as a permanent reminder of the House’s origins.
From the V-Mark, a broader design language began to evolve.
By the stacking the V-Mark vertically four times, Vinciani developed a signature stripe.
Each V retained its distinctive eye-derived notches, while creating an asymmetrical rhythmic sequence of its entire movement and repetition of the stripe.
This design structure formed the foundations that became both the Ascension Stripe and the Discipline Stripe signatures of Vinciani’s design language.
The Ascension Stripe represents its vertical progression, a continuous rise toward improvement, achievement, and victory, a signature mark of strength, discipline and design, pushing to the next level.
Discipline Stripe: This rhythmic signature design evolved from the Ascension Stripe, it is designed by taking the original V-Mark structure and fragmenting into further into rhythmic patterns, while preserving the portions from the partial arms of the V-Mark and its distinctive eye-derived notches.
The Discipline Stripe represents the reality of progress itself showing the visualisation of its design language into movement, interruption, recovery and repetition and its continuous forward momentum.
The design language of this stripe is designed as the visual spine of the garment, the stripe reminds the wearer that victory is rarely achieved through a single action, but as a disciplined repetition over time.
Together, the V-Mark, Ascension Stripe, and Discipline Stripe form a single evolutionary lineage of Vinciani.
What began as the eye from the Heritage Mark of the horse became identity of the V-Mark.
What began as a single V-Mark identity became a signature stripe of the rhythm of four.
And what began as a childhood memory evolved into the visual architecture of Vinciani known as The House of Strength, Discipline & Design.
