Every garment represents a different expression of Strength, Discipline and Design, allowing the wearer to choose the identity that speaks to them.
Every recognition of a mark originates from the registered V-Mark geometry.
From the beginning of the design process, the V- Mark was created as Vinciani’s core identity, then followed the Ascension Stripe that represents growth, progression and discipline of the full four vertical V geometry.
Now came the moment where the inspiration evolved directly from the forward momentum of the vertical path of the “Ascension Stripe” to the concept of the Discipline Stripe.
The Discipline Stripe takes the original linear shape of the Ascension and divides into deliberate sections known as “fragments,” designed to reflect the partial arms of Vinciani’s primary V-Mark logo.
To understand the Discipline Stripe is to first look at the primary geometric logo of the Vinciani V-Mark from the House.
- The V-Mark is built on deliberate structural asymmetry, it is designed to represent victory of strength discipline and design.
- The Ascension Stripe is a solid, unbroken vertical line of the stripe that acts as the ‘visual spine’ of the clothing pieces, symbolizing a forward momentum with continuous discipline.
- The Discipline Stripe is the evolution from the Ascension Stripe which deconstructs the stripe, it segments and removes parts of it that keeps the partial angles and arms of the underlying “V” geometry.
Placement on Apparel
Just as the Ascension Stripe, the Discipline Stripe is used as a signature, the placements are across the spine, printed vertically down the sleeves, the sides of track pants, and at the front and back spine of t-shirts.
The Discipline Stripe gives the wearer a distinct presence, without spelling out the name, and ties back to the brand’s tagline
“You Don’t Wear Vinciani, You Earn It”.
Within the Discipline Stripe, it represents the reality of a discipline-focused lifestyle.
The Discipline Stripe acknowledges that the journey to success is rarely a smooth one, neither its perfect, or neither a continuous line, but its rather a sequence of the individual’s, hard-fought daily blocks and routines to the wearer.
